Protecting the Planet, One Plant at a Time

We are committed to generating as little waste as possible. Our facilities are designed to make quality cannabis while minimizing our environmental impact. We are actively working to improve our processes and making decisions that will reduce our carbon footprint.

Revolutionary Water Reclamation

One of our greatest achievements in sustainability is our state-of-the-art water reclamation system. Due to our reclamation system, we use a lower-than-average amount of water from the City of Grand Rapids than other cannabis producers. This saves costs, resources, and the environment simultaneously.

Our water reclamation system is designed to collect all the water used in the production process. This includes:

  • Feed water
  • Grow room condensation
  • Plant runoff

Any water collected through our reclamation system is cleaned and repurposed for future use. We carefully mix and distribute our feed water to wherever it needs to go next. Then, we start the process all over again. This process saves us enough water to supply a small town and is one of the greatest achievements in sustainability we’ve invested in.

Packaging Designed for Less

We know the cannabis industry produces more than its fair share of waste. We make it a priority to constantly search out new and innovative packaging ideas to minimize our impact as much as possible.

Although plastic packaging is difficult to eliminate completely, we use recycled or non-virgin plastic whenever possible.

Facilities Built for Efficiency

Another of our major investments in sustainability is our dynamic chilling system. Our system works in smaller increments than a standard chiller, so we can have total control over our energy usage and our growing environment. These chillers make sure that we don’t use more energy than necessary while optimizing our production facilities to our exact needs.

To help offset the need for excessive chilling, we use LED bulbs in our grow facilities. LED bulbs produce less heat, so we use less energy to keep every room at the optimum temperature. LEDs are also highly energy efficient and are just another tool in our fight against climate change.
